Fidelity International, Lloyds, Barclays: City figures in top firms made the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2021

Senior City figures from Fidelity International, Lloyds Banking Group and Santander are among those that have been given top recognition in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Released on 12 June, the awards also featured City workers who had supported the financial response to Covid-19.

Anne Richards Fidelity International

Chief executive of asset manager Fidelity International, Richards was made a dame for her services to not only the sector but also to women, to education and to science.

António Horta-Osório — formerly Lloyds Banking Group

The former CEO of Lloyds Banking Group and chair of Credit Suisse was knighted for both his services to financial services and his voluntary services to mental health and culture.

Oluwole Kolade — Livingbridge

The managing partner of private equity firm Livingbridge was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his services to financial services.

Hannah Bernard — Barclays

The head of business banking for the blue-chip bank was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for her services to financial services during Covid-19.

John Collins — Santander

The chief legal and regulatory officer at bank Santander was made an OBE for services to financial services during Covid-19.

Charlotte Crosswell — formerly Innovate Finance

The ex-chief executive of Innovate Finance, the industry body representing the UK’s fintech sector, was awarded an OBE for services to financial services.

Sharon Blackman — Citigroup

The managing director and general counsel at US bank Citi was awarded an OBE for services to financial services.

Jasjyot Singh — Lloyds Banking Group

Singh, managing director for the consumer and business banking division at Lloyds Banking Group, was awarded an OBE for services to financial services during Covid-19.
